I was born in 1966 in Ankara. I completed my primary, secondary, and high school education at TED Ankara College (’83). In the same year, I entered Ankara University Faculty of Medicine. Driven by my desire to closely follow medical advancements and developments in the Western world, which began during my student years, I completed internships in Orthopedics at Birmingham Accident Hospital and Cardiovascular Surgery at Birmingham Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 1985. I graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1989.

In 1990, I started my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Dr. Zekai Tahir Burak Women’s Health Education and Research Hospital. I conducted my thesis study in my field of special interest, High-Risk Pregnancies (Perinatology). My randomized prospective study on "The Use of Steroids and Antibiotics in Cases of Premature Membrane Rupture" was presented in four sessions at the World Perinatology Congress in Jerusalem.

Between 1994 and 1995, I worked at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (UCHSC, Denver, USA) with Prof. Dr. Ronald Gibbs, a leading authority on perinatal infections. I participated in various research projects and animal studies on Group B Streptococcus infections, contributing to multiple publications. At UCHSC, I joined research committees and received an excellence award for my projects.

Between 1994 and 2000, I gained extensive experience in perinatology and high-risk pregnancies in the United States, working with leading experts at the University of Colorado, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Columbia University on perinatal infections, fetal interventions, and placental pathology. After returning to Turkey in 2000, I established the Perinatology and High-Risk Pregnancy Unit at Başkent University, earned my Associate Professorship in 2003, and played a key role in developing High-Risk Pregnancy Units at various Acıbadem hospitals. I led the formation of the Fetal Neurology Group at Acıbadem University and introduced a pioneering technique for multiple pregnancy reduction, which was successfully validated and widely referenced. Since 2010, I have focused on my private practice while holding leadership roles at Memorial Ataşehir and Ulus Liv Hospitals, and between 2016 and 2020, I chaired the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istinye University. As of 2021, I continue my work exclusively at my clinic in Bağdat Caddesi while collaborating with hospitals and international experts from Columbia University, Mount Sinai, Stanford, and UT Texas. Committed to advancing medical science, I have authored over 70 scientific articles, presented at more than 100 congresses, contributed to over 10 book chapters, and served as an editor for three books.
